I’m a qualified language teacher based in France.

I currently teach English to secondary-school students, and my academic background includes English studies, education, linguistics, French as a foreign language (FLE) and French for specific purposes (FOS).

Through Learn with Naturaveillance, I bring together my experience as a language teacher, my interest in how people learn and my passion for helping learners communicate with greater confidence.

My goal is simple: to help you understand French, remember what you learn and gradually feel confident enough to use it in real life.

My background as a language teacher

Languages and education have been at the heart of my studies and professional life.

I hold a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in English Studies. I also completed postgraduate study in English linguistics, with training in French as a foreign language and French for specific purposes.

My studies in FLE and FOS gave me a strong foundation for understanding the needs of people learning French as an additional language.

I am also particularly interested in cognitive science and its applications to education.

I continue to explore how attention, memory, retrieval, emotions and motivation can influence learning — and how these ideas can be translated into simple, practical strategies.

Learn with Naturaveillance brings these different areas together:

languages, teaching and a better understanding of how we learn.

What teaching has taught me

Teaching languages has shown me that understanding something once does not necessarily mean that we can remember or use it later.

You may recognise a word when reading but struggle to retrieve it when speaking.

You may understand a grammar rule but hesitate when trying to use it spontaneously.

And sometimes, fear of making mistakes can stop you from using French you already know.

Learning depends on more than explanations alone.

It also involves:

  • attention;
  • meaningful practice;
  • retrieval;
  • repetition over time;
  • motivation;
  • confidence;
  • opportunities to use the language.

This is why my approach combines practical language learning with strategies informed by how learning works.

Why I created Learn with Naturaveillance

Many people start learning French with enthusiasm but quickly feel overwhelmed.

There is so much vocabulary, grammar and advice available that it can be difficult to know what to learn first — or how to remember it.

I wanted to create a learning space where French feels clearer, more practical and more manageable.

Here, the goal is not to memorise everything at once.

It is to learn useful French, understand how to practise it and gradually build the confidence to use it.

Learn with Naturaveillance is designed to help you:

  • understand what you are learning;
  • focus on useful French;
  • learn words and expressions in context;
  • remember what you learn more effectively;
  • practise retrieving French from memory;
  • start speaking without waiting to be perfect;
  • learn from mistakes;
  • progress step by step.

My approach

Clear

French should be explained in a way that makes it easier to understand.

Grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation are presented through accessible explanations and practical examples.

Practical

You will learn useful words, expressions and sentence patterns that you can reuse in everyday situations.

Brain-friendly

Attention, retrieval, repetition and time all play an important role in learning.

You will discover simple ways to apply these principles to your French practice.

Supportive

Mistakes are part of learning.

You can take your progress seriously without expecting yourself to speak perfectly from the beginning.

Progressive

You do not need to learn everything at once.

Small, meaningful and regular steps can gradually lead to greater independence and confidence.

What does “Naturaveillance” mean?

Naturaveillance is a name I created from two ideas: nature and the French word bienveillance.

Bienveillance expresses kindness, care and a supportive attitude towards yourself and others.

For me, Naturaveillance means learning in a way that respects our human nature and the way we learn.

It means aiming for genuine progress without humiliation, excessive pressure or the belief that everything must be perfect.

Learning can be both demanding and compassionate.

That philosophy is at the heart of Learn with Naturaveillance.
